Sir Stirling suffers rather ironic injuries
At 80 years of age, former Grand Prix driver has suffered substantial injuries that are actually not all that uncommon for those who race formula cars. Two broken ankles, four broken bones in his foot and four chipped vertebrae. The ironic part is that while he still races vintage cars on occasion, Sir Stirling’s injuries did not happen in a car. Much like many other older folks, his injuries are the result of a fall. Unlike most other oldsters though, Moss’ broken bones occurred with style when he stepped into the in his home. The problem was that the was not there when the doors opened and Moss tumbled down the inside of the three story shaft! According to Guardian.co.uk Moss is recovering comfortably from surgery under the close watch of FIA medical man Sid Watkins. Accompanying photo via Sir Stirling’s website is of Moss in the 1956 French Grand Prix. Submit this to Script & Style Share this on Blinklist Share this on del.icio.us Digg this!
