2003 Audi A2 Last we heard anything about the next-generation Audi A2 it was reported that the model will make a comeback in 2014. According to a new report by AutoCar , the next A2 will make its debut sometime in 2012. The second-generation of the model will drop its expensive spaceframe construction for a conventional steel monocoque from the new A1. The change is expected to allow Audi to price the A2 competitively against front-wheel-drive models from BMW and Mercedes-Benz.
